President & CEO
Dan has demonstrated the ability to conceptualize and deliver technology solutions and achieve results. He is a hands-on executive with over 30 years of experience and 12 patents. He is a founder of VerScient Technologies, Healthsense Inc., Converser, and Mediture. Dan conceptualized and developed Mediture’s first product, LabConnect, a system for transmitting vital patient information over secure connections between clinics and labs. Dan plays a pivotal role in accelerating the evolution of Mediture’s product strategy by leveraging its advanced architecture, technology and functionality to meet the growing needs of PACE programs. Prior to Mediture, Dan served as CTO of ColorSpan, a $100 million company that was a major innovative force in desktop publishing and high quality laser & ink jet printing. Dan was responsible for identifying and researching new technologies for use in next generation product lines, building partnerships with domestic and international suppliers of technology, and directing Hardware, Software and Mechanical engineering teams from design concept through product introduction. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Chief Technology Officer
Kiran’s role as Chief Technology Officer of Mediture builds upon his strong technical background designing and developing mission critical systems. Kiran is well versed in all phases of software product development and project management. Kiran has over 25 years of experience providing solutions to technically challenging problems for companies such as GMAC RFC, HealthNexis, General Electric, Lawson Software and the National Bone Marrow Donor Program. As a founder of Mediture, he oversaw development of software solutions for Target Pharmacy’s ClearRx prescription system nationwide. Kiran has focused his healthcare domain IT knowledge and committed Mediture’s resources to product development specifically for PACE programs. Kiran has a vested interest in keeping current with regulatory changes that affect Mediture’s PACE clients. Kiran holds a BE, Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from Osmania University, and a MS in Computer Science from Louisiana State University.
Vice President of Software Development
Jesse has over 15 years of experience in the field of software development and human interface design. He has spent his career identifying customer needs, creating products that address these needs, and implementing these processes for clients including The Principal Financial Group, Virtualfund, Target Corporation, and Edformation prior to founding Mediture. Jesse has strength in managing customer relationships and has led corporations through the introduction of new technologies to improve their work processes. Jesse is responsible for managing complex product line evolutions of Mediture’s TruChart software. His technology focus for the last 10 years has been in Java development with expertise in the J2EE technology stack, including EJB, JSP, JMS and JDBC.
Vice President of Business Development
Brenda serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mediture, where she oversees the marketing and sale of TruChart products and services. She excels at managing customer relationships, and facilitates our TruChart User Group meetings. Additionally, Brenda is responsible for new business opportunities and developing alliances with key industry associations. Prior to joining Mediture in 2003, Brenda worked as a Project Manager for a commercial real estate developer, where she gained an appreciation for building senior care facilities that you’d be proud to have your parents live in. Brenda has a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin – Stout.
Director of Operations
Steve has established a successful track record over the last 20 years in system development and management. As Director of Operations at Mediture, Steve is able to utilize his breadth of industry experience and business management to further the effectiveness of our organization. Steve was previously at Target Corporation for 10 years in roles ranging from Project Manager to Senior Technical Architect. While there, Steve led teams developing and implementing major systems including SAP, JDA, Ariba, PDX, PeopleSoft, Retalix, Lawson, FlexPLM, and others. He designed and developed Target’s first operation dashboard which tracked process compliance and opportunity identification. Steve has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance from the University of Minnesota.
Clinical Informatics Director
Kelly’s role as Clinical Informatics Director at Mediture builds on her 25 years of gerontological nursing experience in long-term care and assisted living settings. Kelly is uniquely qualified in bridging patient care and technology. As a Registered Nurse in a Skilled Nursing Facility, she served as the Director of Education for implementing and training staff in the conversion to a clinical software program. Her job duties have included screening residents for admission and completing nursing assessments; coordinating care and providing direct care for residents, and supervising home health aides. Kelly has a talent for listening to user’s concerns from the viewpoint of a care provider, and relaying that information to Mediture’s technical team. Kelly has a passion for improving the lives of seniors through the use of technology. Kelly has an Associate’s of Arts degree from Austin Community College and is a Registered Nurse.
Director of Financial Services
Heather Rodemann leads our eClusive TPA services in the role of Director of Financial Services. Heather comes from Optum, where she was Director of Operations and oversaw a team of over 200 employees. Heather brings a proven skill set in operations, strategic planning, and client relationship development. Her experience will help to drive operational improvement initiatives to shorten payment cycles and improve auto-adjudication rates. Heather’s knowledge of KPIs and dashboards will lead our efforts to communicate performance levels with clear and actionable data. Heather has a BS degree in Management and Leadership from Capella University.
Director of Medicare-Medicaid Plans
Mike collaborates with customers to create and maintain a project plan outlining resources, milestones, and timeline for a TruChart implementation. His leadership and communication skills are an asset in leading sites through the change management process. Mike has coordinated the kick off and ongoing status meetings to keep customers apprised, and leads workflow sessions to educate end users on TruChart’s functionality. Mike actively participates in the rollout of Mediture’s TruChart Analytics reporting solution to our customer base. Mike is a graduate of Carleton College with a BA in Political Science.
Director of PACE Client Services
As PACE Project Manager Lead at Mediture, Tara works closely with customers during implementation of TruChart. Post implementation, Tara and her team members maintain close customer relationships, helping customers optimize TruChart. Tara comes to Mediture with 13 years of healthcare software implementation experience in both the long term care and acute care industry. She has focused primarily on project management, instructional design, and business analyst work. Tara’s strength is in workflow improvement and helping clients utilize technology to its fullest potential. Tara obtained Epic certifications and was a speaker at the Epic Corporation National User Group Meetings. Tara holds an undergraduate degree in healthcare administration and long term care administration from Concordia College. She also has a master’s in business administration with an emphasis in health management from the University of Phoenix.
Cindy leverages her 30+ years experience in geriatric nursing to help Mediture’s customers implement TruChart’s EHR system. Cindy has a background in staff development, and served as Director of Education for Augustana Chapel View. She now utilizes these skills to advise TruChart users on best practices in documentation and processes in an Electronic Health Record. Her job duties have included coordination of care of long term care residents, education and training of nursing staff, implementing a computerized clinical record and computerized MDS, and serving as liaison between residents, families, interdisciplinary team and outside agencies. Cindy is knowledgeable in creating policies and procedures, and has chaired committees on quality improvement. Cindy has a RN diploma degree from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, and a Certification in Geriatric Nursing.
Tiffany Zent advises our customers how to effectively utilize TruChart to manage their PACE program operations. Tiffany’s experience includes managing EHR implementations and coordinating interoperability with pharmacy, lab, and radiology systems. Tiffany has worked in the long term care software industry as a Project Manager at MatrixCare, and understands the software development environment. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Africa Education, and volunteered in Kenya to build 3 homes for Habitat for Humanity Global Villages. Tiffany graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Michelle manages successful TruChart implementations while building long term client relationships. Her background in healthcare has evolved over a span of 20 years, with experience in project management, migration of data, and clinical workflow. Additionally, she is a trusted advisor on project implementation methodologies, coding, and claims adjudication primarily in Medicaid and Medicare environments. Michelle has served on the Board for the Minneapolis St. Patrick’s Association that raises awareness of Juvenile Diabetes and funding children’s participation in Camp Needlepoint. Additionally, she has volunteered global mission efforts in Russia working with orphanage/teen/hospice centers rebuilding community independence. Michelle graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders with a concentration in language, Psychology and Occupational Therapy.
Jessica excels at EHR system set-ups, and guides her customers in configuring TruChart to maximize its potential. She has a practical approach to help end users make workflow decisions, and her technical background supports planning, training, and maintenance upgrades. Jessica brings experience as an Epic Principal Trainer for Park Nicollet/Health Partners clinics, where she provided Computerized Physician Order Entry support and trained end users for successful Go-Lives. Jessica has an Associate’s Degree in Computer Programming from Baker College.
Justin has a strong skillset as a Financial and Data Analyst, and applies that knowledge to support customers in our Medicare – Medicaid Plans operations. While working at Optum’s Payer Consulting division, he led the development and launch of Business Intelligence tools. He has experience working with revenue and utilization forecasts to facilitate mangement decisions. Justin has a strong desire to use his knowledge of operational management to guide recomended usage of the TruChart system. Justin graduated from Carleton College with a BA in Economics.
